Alright, some progression made in my attachment. We're almost done with the risk assessment and we'll be able to start with our experiment tomorrow. It'll be fun!

Anyway, don't have much to blog about. Just that our in-charge, Peggy, treated us to Thai cuisine. It was awesome alright. The head of discipline was there as well. My initial impression of her was that she's very strict. But upon hearing her talk, my impression of her changed. She's a nice person.

During the lunch, I noticed something really different. First is the age gap between the 3 of us and the lecturers. Wow, they're like talking about spending thousands on their daughter in a annual dance for the year 10 students in the school. From what I heard, the annual dance is to present that the girl is coming out to the society as a women. That's something interesting I must say. I don't remember anything like that in Singapore.

Well, after that we went back to the lab and did some risk analysis. Kinda fun, but fustrating cause we're arguing about the how much points to give.

Anyway, dinner was horrible. The rice is hard and inedible. Junhao and Valentine stopped eating within 10 spoons or so. No wonder the food's so cheap.

Anyway, gotta go. BYE!

Attended a practicial session in RMIT today. The first briefing I attended was an experiment on the batch reactor. Well, I've learn the theory right before the holiday and today's briefing refreshed my memory. Arrhenius law, Intergral method and differential method.

Oh yeah, I recalled this girl who keep staring as us when we talked to ourselves about what the lab technician was briefing. She looked at us in a way... I don't really know how to describe. But what I can say is that, she looks like a teachers good pet. One who knows everything but knows nothing. If you get what I mean.

Anyway, the way the practical was conducted was very much different from Singapore Polytechnic. In SP, we have to figure out a way to calculate the results and we collect our results manually. However, in RMIT lab technician will explain step by step what to do and all the datas are recorded by computer. Sigh

Another thing I want to say is, the students whom I attended the practical with are year 2 and of the same age as me. We're learning almost the same thing, probably they learn something abit more than me. They'll be graduating with a degree and I'll be graduating with a diploma. That's shit man. In addition, they're like 20+ when they graduate with a degree. I'll be in my mid 20 by the time I even graduate with a degree.

Life's so unfair

Hey, right now I'm sitting at the cafeteria waiting for the free pan cake to be served. So while waiting, I'll just update a lil' bit.

Yesterday was quite a tiring day. Did our laundry and finished up our report before we took a walk in the botanical garden for about 3 hours? Can you believe it? 3 freaking hours in the botanical garden. I think i'm mad. But yeah, we did take alot of photos so it's alright. Well, thhe photos are all in facebook. Won't be uploading here. It'll take a rather long time to load.

I guess today we'll be going to St. Kilda beach for a walk while enjoying the breeze and "view". Heh.

Shall end it short. Bye!

DAMN it! I have to retype the entire blog post I did just 10 mins ago. The internet connection died on me. It's just so fustrating. BLAH!

Okay, someone's cooking something that smelt really very nice. Valentine says it's salmon so I'll be looking out for that. Anyway, I'm gonna have to retype the entire blog post. Sigh.

----------------------The old post will start from here----------------------------------

HEY! Couldn't update yesteday cause the connection was so screwed up. Likewise for today! I have to blog this fast or else I'll get disconnected again.

Basically, yesterday was pretty stressed up with the assignments handed to us. Fucking 5 literature reviews to read and summarise. Well, that's one thing. We're also tasked to find the literature reviews on our own and it must somehow be relevant to the research topic we're given. It's tiring to search for the literature review. It's even worst reading it. Come on, the entire literature reviews has all the terminologies that were unknown to me at that point in time and that it will only be learnt at university level? Oh, plus the equation used is really crazy. They explains their result of their experiment through equations and how they derived it. I totally could't catch any balls.

Well, today was better. Done most of the reading and the summary is halfway done. Just left with the results part. Well, hope everything goes well.

Alright, i'll stop with the RMIT thing. Alright! I think I'm hearing thing, Jun Hao and Valentine is asking me to drink beer? Oh yeah Zak! Jun Hao is getting bad influences from us alright? He's talking about dirty stuff with us. Well if you want to know more about it, msn me!

Damn, i can't upload my photo now. The internet connection is dying on me again. Shall upload the photos some other time.

Well, there ain't much to update now. Wait till tomorrow, shall upload with more pictures. Will be going on a sightseeing trip on our own. So definitely will have alot of photos!

We're having a hell out of time in our own room. Doing playing dai di, losers will have to do push up or sit up. Valentine started acting like a freaking lady boy! haha! fun i tell you

It's going to be 7 soon. Just had my oversized plate of pasta which we cooked on our own. Luckily the taste of the pasta wasn't bad. Shan't elaborate much on the dinner.

School wasn't bad either. It's much more productive than yesterday. Had our direction straightened out and it's clearer now. Getting used to the environment, but the weather here is still unpredictable. Sometimes it will be just nice, if not it's extremely cold with the wind smacking onto my face.

Alright, now i'm going to chat with my family. See ya'll!

Now i'm currently waiting at the cafeteria for the free pasta dinner. It's later than the expected time though. But it's okay, I'm with a laptop and here I am blogging to pass time.

Well, went to RMIT for my attachment. Look at the above picture you'll know what my research is all about. Like yesterday, my in-charge, peggy is not around due to some eye sickness. But we're to start on our research. The topic we got is not something I've learnt in SP before, hence had to start from scratch. No knowledge at all. It's hard to comprehend what some of the e-journals says. It's difficult, but I hope it'll get better as days go by.

Just remembered something, I've been given a RMIT student admin number as well as a student mail. It makes me feel as though I am a student there! Anyway, let me upload a picture the computer lab we (valentine junhao and I) do our research. We shared this room with another ex-student from the school and she's a PHD HOLDER! If i'm not wrong she's called Suzanne. She's friendly and helpful.

Anyway, I'm going to get back doing my report for tomorrow. So I'm going to end here.

I'm back online and it's near sleeping time (8pm). I'm trying to stay awake for a longer period of time if possible cause I need not be going to RMIT early.

Talking about RMIT. We (Valentine, JunHao and I) went there early about 8.30am not knowing that our in-charge was sick. So we waited from 8.30 all the way to about 10 plus. to make the matter worse, the weather was freaking cold. The wind was strong and my lips were cracking.

At about 10 plus our in-charge colleague, Cameron, brought us around the labs and the school before heading out towards the city for some other stuff. He is friendly and very helpful. He told us that, if we need any help in matter of Chemical Engineering we could approach him for help.

After that we went about exploring on our own. We entered the state library and I tell you, it's amazing. It looks as though it is an old manor and it's interior is beautiful. The design is very much different from Singapore's library.

We did some grocery shopping as well. We decided that today, we'll cook our own dinner rather than eating out. Shopped at the super market for about an hour or so. I must say the food here is really expensive as compared to Singapore (should count myself lucky that I'm actually living in Singapore). Anyway, the grocery shopping was fun. Just the three of us looking for whatever we need for our dinner. I don't even remember going to the supermarket alone just to buy grocery for my own dinner. Its always done by my mum. So this is definitely a huge step towards independence!

The dinner was okay, not much experience in cooking. But we managed to make our food edible and taste alright. Not very nice nor was it very disgusting. But we somehow cooked too much, had to gorge ourself with the noodles we cooked.

Anyway, I've uploaded some photos on facebook. I'll upload some here. Right now, I'm going to get ready to go to bed. Have to wake up early tomorrow.

(p.s. another fucking cold morning with morning "spasm")

Hey all! I'm safely sitting down at greenhouse backpacker hostel with Valentine and Junhao. I must say, it's quite an experience to be overseas without any adult supervision at all. I've finally get to come online after many futile tries.

It's probably about 7pm here and almost all the shops are closed.I guess i'll be going to bed soon as well. But for now, I am going to have a chat with my family and friends.

By the way, I have to thanks those who sent me off. I really appreciate that. And and and, i really love the note book you guys made for me. thank you so very much XD.

I did not manage to take alot of pictures today. All we did was just getting familar with our surroundings and finding ways to get to RMIT. Well, we got lost quite a number of time, but it wasn't of a problem. There are street maps everywhere, so getting lost won't be a problem at all. A bad thing about the weather here was, the wind are so damn strong. Along with the cold air, wow. It make it rather chilly. Okay not just chilly but way past chilly.

Alright, I rather tired for now. When I take more pictures tomorrow, I'll definitely upload it.

I'm finally done with my EXAM! I don't think I'll do well for my diploma plus paper. However, I don't think I'll fail the paper.

Anyway, I'm flying in 6 and half hours time. 4 more hours before heading to the airport to check in. I'm excited for my attachment and at the same time I'm nervous. It'll be my first time overseas with friends without parents/adults supervision. It's just Valentine, Jun Hao and I. It's time to show how independent we are.

It's funny that I do feel nervous. I think I worry too much. I was thinking, what if I don't do what was expected of me? What if I don't fit/blend in? I know it sounds dumb. But i can't help but to worry. Lucky, for me, I do get encouragements from my friends and they said I was silly for think so much. I think so too. LOL!

Anyway, I shall go back to packing and getting prepared.
